Eisenvotive aus dem Alpenraum<\/strong><\/p>

Drei aus Eisen geschmiedete Votive, die einen auf den Knien Betenden, eine Kuh und ein Schwein darstellen. Der archaische Charakter der Figuren wird noch verst\u00e4rkt, wenn diese aus Hufeisen oder Ketten hergestellt sind.<\/p>

Die beiden Nutztiere wurden dem hl. Leonhard geopfert, der als Viehheiliger, aber auch als Schutzpatron von den Schmieden und Schlossern angerufen wird.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Votivgaben, Eisen und Silberblech, 18.\/19. Jh.<\/strong><\/p>

Votive sind Opfergaben, die als Bekr\u00e4ftigung eines Gel\u00fcbdes (lat. votum) oder zur Unterst\u00fctzung von Gebeten in Kirchen hinterlegt wurden. Ihre Gestalt weist auf die Gebetsanliegen hin. Menschliche K\u00f6rperteile stehen f\u00fcr die Bitte um Heilung von Gebrechen am entsprechenden Organ. Tiere deuten auf Viehkrankheiten hin oder auf den Wunsch nach Gesundheit und Ertrag im Viehbestand.
