Votivtafel 1732<\/strong><\/p>

\u201eEx voto\u201c hei\u00dft aus dem Lateinischen \u00fcbersetzt \u201ewegen eines Gel\u00fcbdes\u201c. Bei der volkst\u00fcmlichen Darstellung ist eine Szene mit einem kranken Kind und den betenden Eltern an seinem Bett zu sehen. Diese bitten die in der linken Bildh\u00e4lfte erscheinende Gottesmutter Maria mit dem Jesuskind um Hilfe.<\/p>

Votivtafeln wurden infolge eines abgelegten Gel\u00fcbdes als symbolisches Opfer f\u00fcr die Errettung aus einer Notlage in Kirchen und Kapellen dargebracht. Die Abk\u00fcrzung \u201eP. G. R.\u201c unter der Madonnenfigur steht dabei f\u00fcr \u201eper grazia ricevuta\u201c = \u201ef\u00fcr die erhaltene Gnade\u201c.<\/p>
